Course Description
Growth Through People is a 4-week, synchronous-online program provided by the Lazaridis Institute. This executive development program provides a multi-dimensional learning experience for fast-growing companies. We combine best practices and frameworks with real-world examples to assist participants in kick starting new initiatives, optimizing existing processes and fueling people-led growth.

Program Structure
1. Expert-led speaking sessions
(Tuesdays, 12:00-2:00 pm ET)
Speakers provide proven best practices developed at the world’s top companies to consistently lead their industries in employee engagement, career development and satisfaction. Learn how people operations can impact and improve financial performance and growth
2. Facilitated peer groups
(Thursdays, 12:00-1:30 pm ET)
Peer discussion groups based on weekly speaking topics are facilitated by an experienced people operations mentor. Acting as an informal advisory board, these small groups of participants provide feedback and ideas on approaches to challenges and opportunities they are facing at their own companies.
3. World-class mentorship
(upon completion of course)
Each company is partnered with one of our world-class mentors to help you navigate your most difficult challenges related to people operations.

Mentorship
Companies that complete the course will receive 3 hours of 1:1 mentoring with Lazaridis ScaleUp’s world-class experts. Participants will be matched to program speakers/facilitators based on their company’s goals and objectives and will receive advice on seizing growth opportunities and overcoming obstacles.

Please note that once you register for the course, our cancellation policy will apply. Participants should have cost and time approved by their employer ahead of time. Participation cannot be deferred to another course at this time.
All cancellations must be received in writing at fmenezes@wlu.ca
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations received more than 30 days before the program starts are subject to a 15% cancellation fee.
- Cancellations received 21-30 days before the program start are subject to a 30% cancellation fee
- Cancellations received 14-21 days before the program starts are subjected to a 50% cancellation fee
- Cancellations received fewer than 14 days prior to the program starting are subjected to a 100% cancellation fee
Non-Attendance
Cancellations or non-attendance on the day of a remote workshop or course are not eligible for a refund, credit or transfer. There are no refunds, cancellations or transfers for online courses after the start date.
Cancellations by the Lazaridis Institute
The Lazaridis Institute Executive Development program may need to cancel a workshop or course due to low enrolment or instructor illness/emergency. If possible, we will do our best to reschedule the date. If you cannot attend on the new date, you will be eligible for a full refund for that date.

Canada Job Grant - The Canada Job Grant (CJG) is a Canadian government funding program designed to reduce the costs of providing third-party skills training to new and existing employees. Launched in 2014, the Canada Job Grant allocates upwards of $194M annually to support the upskilling of new and existing employees so that they can learn new skills and become more valuable to their organization.
Please note that the Canada Job Grant (CJG) maintains a provincial stream for each province and territory, except for Québec, and each individual stream has varying funding amounts and eligibility criteria. Check the government website for province-specific information.
