Course Description

Hours: 12

“Mindfulness-based relapse prevention (MBRP) is a program integrating mindfulness meditation practices with traditional relapse prevention (RP).”1 MBRP blends meditation practices with cognitive behavioral relapse prevention skills. It is designed as an aftercare program and is conducted in a group therapy format. This two-day workshop will provide an overview of the eight weekly sessions. The purpose of the MBRP program is to increase awareness of triggers, habitual patterns and “automatic” reactions that can lead to relapse. Participants will be introduced and guided through key practices within the model. *Please note this is an experiential workshop.

*Note: This workshop is designed for helping professionals. The content and discussions may be triggering for those in recovery.
