Course Description

Hours: 12

Mindfulness involves cultivating new relationships with our experiences, thoughts and emotions through paying attention intentionally and non-judgmentally. Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) are now used in clinical settings to help patients/clients cope better with chronic illness, pain, depression, anxiety and stress.

This additional workshop expands on the learning from The Foundations workshop and is intended for those who are preparing to offer mindfulness as part of their clinical work. Participants will practice teach a variety of traditional mindfulness techniques and begin to explore the art of mindful inquiry.
