Course Description

The Strategies for Academic Success (SAS) Program is available for any student that has been required to withdraw as a method for readmission to Laurier. This includes students from all programs across both the Waterloo campus and Brantford campus. The SAS program is led by a professional team, offering on-going support, mentoring, academic advising and mandatory coursework. Course Outline
The program runs over two academic terms (Fall/Winter, or Winter/Spring) and includes the following schedule:

Term 1: SASP-001 (first mandatory course) + 0.5-elective course

Term 2: AF 224 (second mandatory course) + 1.0 elective courses
This is a program fee, covering participation in the program and the non-credit SASP-001 course. You will be required to pay standard tuition and fees for all for-credit courses you register in during the program. In term 1 students will register in one (1) for-credit class; in term 2 students will register in three (3) including the 2nd mandatory SAS class for a total of 1.5 credits, thus qualifying for application to OSAP. Students will pay standard incidental fees each semester, providing access to all on-campus student resources.
Notes
Please only select one section to register for. If you select sections A or B you will be automatically enrolled in both the Fall and Winter terms, if you select section C or D you will automatically be enrolled in both the Winter and Spring terms.

Your LORIS account must be in good standing ($0.00 balance) prior to your registration being processed.
Please note there is a cancellation fee of 25% if you withdraw up to TBD (for Fall entry) and TBD (for winter entry).
Payment plans can be requested by contacting sas@wlu.ca – a $350.00 deposit is required to secure your spot and initiate the fee deferral.
Participants are eligible to apply for a bursary of up to $1000 if they have demonstrated financial need. Applications for the bursary will be available after completing registration and will require a report of all sources of income, which will be used to assess financial need.
