Course Description

Hours: 24

Exposure and response prevention (ERP) is the gold-standard psychological treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), yet many clinicians receive limited formal training in its implementation. This comprehensive four-day intensive Professional Development course provides participants with a strong foundation in the theory, assessment, conceptualization and practical application of ERP across the lifespan.

Participants will learn how to accurately assess OCD, develop individualized case conceptualizations, construct effective exposure hierarchies, implement imaginal and in vivo exposures, identify and reduce subtle compulsions, address family accommodation and navigate common treatment challenges.

Through case examples, demonstrations, experiential exercises and discussion, clinicians will develop the confidence to begin integrating ERP into their clinical practice immediately.
