0321 - Trauma-Informed ACT
Course Description
Hours: 12
“Not all wounds bleed” speaks loudly about the psychological or soul-wounding trauma many of our clients carry around with them. These clients want pain relief as quickly as possible. Learn how to approach this process with openness, curiosity and compassion so you can teach your clients practical skills that they can practice in their daily lives. The overall goal that applies to all trauma-related issues is to help clients live in the present, experience healing of the past and build for a better future. This requires of us as therapists to be aware and address with much psychological flexibility the common barriers of hooks, avoidance of discomfort, remoteness from values and doubtful goals that clients present in our work with them.
This two-day course will require you to be flexible in your participation and contribution to others’ learning so you can leave our time together with the beginnings of your own Intervention Toolkit.
