Course Description

Hours: 12

A strong, safe supervisory relationship is essential for the provision of high quality and effective supervision. Rooted in cultural relational theory, and enhanced with evidence-based approaches, this two-day workshop will explore ways to engage supervisees, build a strong working alliance and maintain it over the course of the supervisory process. Through experiential learning such as role-plays, demonstrations and small groups we will explore ways to build relationship through broaching cultural conversations; we will practice strategies to repair the supervisory relationship after ruptures; and we will discuss ways to create the ideal relational context for the delivery of feedback and evaluations.
