Course Description

CBT is well documented for treating insomnia disorder, which is often experienced concurrently with other mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety disorders and PTSD. This two-day workshop will provide comprehensive training for treating insomnia using CBT using the following skills:

  • sleep monitoring and insomnia assessment
  • stimulus control and sleep restriction therapy
  • quieting the mind techniques
  • conquering worry and rumination that interferes with sleep
  • nightmare re-scripting
  • considerations for delivery with children and adolescents, with a review on sleep separation anxiety
