Course Description
The Centre for Public Safety and Well-Being is now offering Positive Psychology and Resilience Workshops!
Each workshop session is delivered in a virtual learning environment (Zoom) and will meet once a week for three weeks. Each week's meeting is one hour in length.
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
This program will focus on the core elements of stress and stress reactivity during stressful events. The session will explore how to shift from stress reactivity to stress response at work and life. This session will provide strategies and practical tools to support in stress reduction.

Discover Your Strengths
When individuals use their strengths, there is an increase in overall engagement, productivity and well-being. Discover Your Strenghts program will help employees understand the power of working in their strengths. The program will allow individuals to identify their strengths, develop strategies to leverage their strengths, and unique ideas on how to find flow at work. This program is a critical step to help individuals and organizations realize their full potential.

Facilitator - Meghan Kirwin
Meghan Kirwin, MBA, MSc
Meghan’s mission is to empower individuals, teams and organizations to thrive. Meghan is passionate about facilitating positive change with the individuals and organizations she works with. Meghan founded her own business in 2004 and in her role as mentor, coach and facilitator has focused on building thriving workplaces. Meghan is focused on supporting individuals and organizations to realize their full potential through the application of positive psychology.
Meghan has over 20 years of experience designing and delivering training programs for individuals, teams and leaders. Meghan has completed a Masters in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier specializing in Leadership and Organizational Behaviour. She also completed a Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP) from the Wholebeing Institute, where she studied under Dr. Tal Ben Shahar from Harvard University. Meghan has also completed a Masters in Science in Applied Positive Psychology from University of East London, England, which is one of the leading Universities in the field of positive psychology. Meghan is also a certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher.
