0515 - Level II: Narrative Exposures for Trauma Memories
Course Description
Hours: 12
A hallmark of our CBT for Trauma approach is the use of narrative exposures for trauma memories. This advanced level course builds on the fundamentals of exposure therapy outlined in our level I courses so that you can effectively address clients’ avoidance of trauma memories and help them get further on their path towards post-traumatic growth. This two-day course goes in-depth into creating trauma timelines, memory hierarchies and formulating trauma narratives for both acute and complex trauma experiences. It will teach you to assess client readiness for this stage of treatment and troubleshoot when clients get stuck or destabilize during the process. Bring your case examples and let's discuss.
