Course Description

Hours: 12

The helping profession carries a profound, cumulative emotional and psychological weight. This interactive workshop is designed to help navigate the complex realities of those roles and empower service providers to recognize and address secondary traumatic stress, compassion fatigue and moral injury. Moving beyond traditional trauma-informed care, participants will explore practical tools to process the emotional toll of the helping field, enabling them to protect their personal well-being while advocating for meaningful structural change. Participants will be expected and encouraged to share, reflect and engage throughout the workshop.

Note: There is significant overlap between this workshop and 0100 - Secondary Traumatic Stress, Compassion Fatigue and Resilience. It is not recommended that you take both workshops as the content will be quite similar.
