0498 - Part 2: Deeper Applications of the IFS Model
Course Description
This eight week (40 hour) course will provide a deeper look at using the IFS model across multiple themes. It will start with a look at how attachment wounds shape various parts of the system, and how to work with people who have experienced trauma. The course will further explore the body as a “trailhead” to exploring parts and experiencing inner harmony and leading with a specific exploration of polyvagal theory. As practitioners, you will strengthen your capacity to form a strong self-led connection with your clients, remaining connection, centred and present.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Understand the impact of trauma on the system and how to help clients foster Self-Part connections that acknowledge, repair and heal.
- Create safety for clients through embodying Self-led presence and connection.
- Help clients discover how pain or illness may be functioning as protective parts and how to discover the Exiles they are seeking to serve.
- Identify the three branches of nervous system regulation (Polyvagal system).
- Identify what clients need in moments of dysregulation and how to foster healthy co-regulation as well as access Self.
